Picking the best store locator for Shopify in 2026 comes down to four things: where the availability data comes from, how quickly a newly distributed product appears in it, how much of the work lands on your team, and how much each vendor will tell you before a sales call. This page compares the StoreLocators app with Destini, Wayvia, MikMak, Pear Commerce and Stockist on all four, with a source behind every claim about another vendor, and names the kind of brand each one is built for. Two of the six are store locator apps you can install from the Shopify App Store today; the rest are enterprise platforms sold through a demo, and the table below says which is which.

$1,100–$2,100 reportedFrom brands that have used Destini, not a published priceDestini: PricingNot a published price, and not the same number as the one on Destini’s directory listing. Destini publishes no figure anywhere. Capterra, a third-party directory, shows a starting price of $4,950, but it labels the unit inconsistently and rests on zero reviews, so it is directory metadata rather than Destini pricing. The range in this cell is something different again: what brands that have used Destini paid, normalised to a monthly figure. Those five figures are $1,083, $1,583, $1,800, $2,000 and $2,060 a month, so the sample is five and the spread is nearly twofold. One of those brands noted their figure excluded two add-ons billed separately. A sixth brand paid $7,000 a month on a combined bill, which is not comparable per brand and is not in the range. The sources below are for the two published statements in this note; nothing public supports the range itself, which is why the cell says "reported".Sources8. Destini: Omnicommerce Starter Bundle16. Seventeen rows, five competitors, one review date. Competitor cells are the same cells that appear on each head-to-head page, so nothing here can say one thing on this page and another one page deeper.
Best store locator for each kind of brand
The table above ranks six platforms on seventeen rows at once, which is not how anyone actually buys. You arrive as a particular kind of brand. These are the answers for each, and on three of them the answer is not us.
Best store locator for a Shopify brand selling through retailers
StoreLocators
This is the case we are built for: your products sit on shelves you do not own, and a shopper on your product page wants to know which nearby shop has the one they are looking at. Availability comes from 205 integrated retailer feeds covering 110,516 locations, discovered rather than uploaded, and the app installs from the Shopify App Store as a theme section. The price is on the listing rather than behind a demo.,
Best store locator for a brand running retail media at scale
Wayvia
If the locator is one input to a media programme and what you need is closed-loop attribution wired into the rest of your stack, this is a different purchase from a locator. Wayvia sells retailer-confirmed sales verified to the receipt. MikMak is the other answer here, with full-funnel measurement alongside its where-to-buy widget.,
Best store locator for a DIY setup on a small budget
Stockist
If you have your own shops or a fixed dealer list, you want it on a map that loads, and you would rather set it up yourself in an afternoon than talk to anyone, you do not need product-level availability and should not pay for it. Stockist does that well at $10 a month for up to 100 locations, and holds 5.0 across 351 Shopify reviews. We are the wrong tool for this and cost roughly twenty times as much.
Best store locator for a brand growing through independents
StoreLocators
Independent stockists and regional accounts rarely appear in any syndicated feed, which is the gap that catches brands who buy on retailer count alone. Logged-in wholesale customers add their own store through a submission block, and spreadsheet uploads cover chains with no integration, so a new door is live without waiting for anyone else to report it.
Best store locator for a team building its own experience
Woosmap
If you have engineering capacity and want APIs to build against rather than a packaged app, a locator product is the wrong shape. Woosmap sells the stack (store search, autocomplete, geocoding, routing) and your team assembles it. That is a real advantage when the locator has to live inside something you already run.
What we compared, and how
Five platforms are on this page because these are the ones brands actually shortlist against us: two enterprise where-to-buy suites, two commerce and media platforms, and one locator widget. Each is compared on the same seventeen rows, in the same order, whether or not the answer flatters us.
Every fact about another vendor comes from that vendor’s own site or documentation, a public app-store or directory listing, a press release, or trade press. Each one is cited in the sources list at the foot of the page, with the publisher and the date we checked it. We do not link out to the vendors we compare ourselves against, so sources are named rather than linked; search for the title to find the page. Where a vendor states something in their own words, we quote it rather than paraphrase, because paraphrasing a competitor’s claim is where errors creep in.
StoreLocators
StoreLocators is a store locator and product locator app for Shopify, installed from the Shopify App Store as a theme section or dropped onto any other stack with a script tag and one div. It answers which nearby shop has a specific product, not just which shops exist: availability comes from 205 integrated retailer feeds covering 110,516 locations, discovered automatically rather than uploaded by your team. Our own published setup figure is under five minutes on Shopify.,
Pricing is on the app listing rather than behind a demo: $195, $395 and $995 a month by retail location count, every tier with a 14-day free trial, month to month with no termination fee and a 30-day refund window. That is the row most of the platforms below do not publish at all, which is the honest reason we lead with it. Where we are the weaker choice we say so in each head-to-head page rather than only here.,
Best fit: a brand selling through retailers that wants live product-level availability on a Shopify storefront this week, at a price it can read before booking a call.
Destini
Destini is the incumbent where-to-buy platform in grocery CPG. Its homepage states it has been the number one where-to-buy platform for the food and beverage industry since its founding in 2010, and that more than 1,500 brands use it. SPINS lists Destini Where-to-Buy under commerce enablement, and Destini acquired the competing Where to Buy business in June 2025.,,
It runs on syndicated retail data from IRI, Nielsen and SPINS rather than on store lists a brand uploads, and SPINS states Destini is the only where-to-buy solution able to integrate SPINS data for exclusive retailers in the Natural Channel. If your distribution runs through natural and specialty grocery, that is genuinely unmatched. The trade-off is documented in their own support material: a newly distributed product can take six to eight weeks to start appearing in the locator. The Canada page puts availability at over 6,200 stores refreshed monthly; no comparable refresh interval is published for the United States.,,,
Best fit: a grocery, natural or specialty brand that already buys syndicated retail data and wants search results ranked by actual sales data, with shoppable pages and coupons from the same vendor.
Wayvia is the enterprise commerce enablement platform that traded as PriceSpider until its rebrand on 24 July 2025. Where to Buy is one part of a suite that also covers retail intelligence, MAP and price monitoring through PROWL, and shoppable media. It states a network of more than 32,000 validated retailers, and its Hatch product page claims 92 countries, weighted heavily to EMEA.,,,
Two things are worth correcting about the old assumption that enterprise where-to-buy is automatically slow. Wayvia publishes a campaign-to-live-page figure of under ten minutes for its Shoppable Next Generation flow, and its headline measurement claim is sales confirmed by the retailer rather than inferred from clicks. It publishes no price: no pricing page appears anywhere in its sitemap.,,
Best fit: a brand selling across Europe or APAC that needs price monitoring and retailer-confirmed sales alongside where-to-buy, and has procurement requirements a published security posture can answer.
MikMak is a commerce intelligence and orchestration platform, branded since January 2026 as MikMak, a SPINS company. Its where-to-buy widget and store locator sit inside one of three modules, next to omnichannel analytics and media measurement. It states 8,000+ retailer partners, 3.6 million store locations and more than 100 countries, and names Diageo, Colgate-Palmolive, Reckitt, Mars, Mondelez and Kraft Heinz among its customers.,,,
The thing it does that a website locator structurally cannot is convert into a retailer cart with the product already in it, from outside your website: social, search, CTV, display and QR. It publishes no price; Capterra records contact vendor for pricing, Software Advice pricing available upon request, and GetApp no starting price at all.,,,
Best fit: a large CPG brand whose real question is what its media spend did to retail sales, with the locator as one output of that system rather than the purchase itself.
Pear Commerce sells itself as a retail ecommerce platform for omnichannel CPG brands, with the store locator as one module beside shoppable media, alcohol tied-house compliance and digital-shelf reporting. It states 3,000+ retail partners and 165,000+ stores, with inventory checked in the US, Canada, France, the UK, Australia and beyond, and it raised a $10M Series A led by Stage 2 Capital in June 2024.,
Pear is the only enterprise where-to-buy platform here that publishes a price list. Four tiers with dollar figures, from $2,000 a month billed yearly, with what each tier includes. The catch a buyer should read carefully is that the tiers are metered by product count: 15, 30 and 100 UPCs before Enterprise. A broad catalogue can move you up the list on SKU count alone.
Best fit: a brand with a focused catalogue whose priority is paid-media efficiency and click-level attribution, or an alcohol brand that needs tied-house compliance built into the product.
Stockist is a store locator widget for Shopify and any other site, and unusually for this table it publishes its prices: $10, $20 and $40 a month for 100, 500 and 2,000 locations. Its Shopify listing holds a 5.0 rating across 351 reviews. Locations come from you: entered, imported as a spreadsheet or synced from a Google Sheet, then geocoded automatically.,,,,
It has no concept of product availability. Its custom fields accept single-line text, multi-line text or a link and nothing else, so there is nowhere for stock to live, and nothing discovers retailers that carry you. The map runs on your own Google Maps or Mapbox key: their docs say a high-traffic locator may reach Google’s free usage limits, and charges past that are yours.,,
Best fit: a brand or retailer whose locations are its own shops, or a stockist list it already keeps accurate, that wants a fast, well-supported map on any platform and is not being asked which store has a particular product.
Every platform above has a page of its own, and so do several that are not in the table. Each goes a level deeper: the vendor in their own words, a seventeen-row table against us, a switching guide, and what neither of us publishes.
The five platforms on this page are not five versions of one product. They cluster into three categories, and picking the wrong category is a more expensive mistake than picking the wrong vendor inside the right one.
If you already buy syndicated retail data and want results ranked by actual sales data, you are shopping for a syndicated where-to-buy suite, and the locator is the front end of a data subscription.
If the question you actually need answered is what your media spend did to retail sales, you are shopping for a commerce measurement platform. A locator is an output of that system, not a substitute for it.
If the locations are your own — your own shops, or a stockist list you already keep accurate — you are shopping for a store locator widget. It is by far the cheapest category, and the right one whenever the list is the answer rather than the problem.,
And if your products sit on other people’s shelves, you need to know which of those shelves have them today, and you want it live this week without a data subscription or a developer, you are shopping for a retailer-feed product locator. That is the category StoreLocators is in.
Why teams choose StoreLocators
Live in minutes, not in a quarter
One click from the Shopify App Store, or a script and one div on any other site including headless. Our published figure is under five minutes, and the app listing is public, so it is a claim you can check by installing it rather than by booking a call.
Coverage you do not have to buy separately
We discover which of 205 integrated retailers carry your products across 110,516 locations, with no syndicated data subscription in the way. A retailer you sell through but we do not yet integrate is added on request, typically within days, at no additional cost.
Retailer-reported availability, refreshed daily
Availability comes from retailer feeds, refreshes daily and is re-checked while the shopper browses. It is retailer-reported rather than a live poll of a physical shelf, which is the honest description of what every platform in this category actually has.
The long tail of independents
Independent stockists submit their own locations through the wholesale block and appear without waiting to be reported by anyone’s feed. For a brand whose growth is in independents and regional accounts, that is usually the gap that matters.
Terms you can read before you buy
Our prices are public: $195, $395 and $995 per month, on our Shopify App Store listing, tiered by how many retail locations you need. So is the contract structure behind them: month to month, no long-term contract, no termination fee, cancel from Account Settings, and a refund window of 30 days from the latest charge. Of the five platforms compared here, only Pear and Stockist also publish a price list.,,
Frequently asked questions
What is the best store locator in 2026?
There is no single best store locator in 2026, because the platforms differ most in where their availability data comes from, and that is decided by how you sell. If your distribution runs through syndicated grocery data, Destini is built on exactly that. If you need shoppable media and campaign attribution alongside the locator, MikMak and Pear Commerce sell that as one platform. If your dealers run point-of-sale inventory you can read, Locally goes deeper than anyone. If your engineering team wants location APIs to assemble themselves, Woosmap is the cleanest. StoreLocators is the best fit when you want retailer-reported availability refreshed daily, published pricing you can read before a sales call, and a locator live in minutes rather than a quarter. The comparison table above sets all of that out, with a source behind every claim about another vendor.,
What is the best store locator app or software for a Shopify store?
The best store locator app for Shopify depends on whether you only need to map your own shops or also need to show which nearby retailers stock a product. A widget-style app covers the first. If shoppers need to find your products at Walmart, Target or a local grocer, you need store locator software with retailer availability behind it. StoreLocators installs as a Shopify app in minutes, publishes its pricing, and refreshes retailer-reported availability daily. The comparison table above sets it beside Destini, Wayvia, MikMak, Pear Commerce and Stockist on those points.
What is the difference between a store locator and a where-to-buy platform?
A store locator answers "where are your shops", and is usually built from a location list the business already owns. A where-to-buy or product locator answers "which nearby shops have this specific product", which requires availability data from third-party retailers that the brand does not control. Every platform on this page does the second thing, but they source that availability very differently, which is why the comparison table gives data and freshness a section of its own: where the availability comes from, and how often it refreshes, is the question that decides which of the two you are actually buying, and no feature list settles it.
Is a store finder the same as a store locator?
Yes. Store finder and store locator are two names for the same tool, and which one a team uses is mostly regional habit: UK and multi-site retail teams tend to say store finder, while North American and CPG teams tend to say store locator. Vendors split the same way, so a search for store finder software and a search for store locator software return much the same set of products. The distinction that actually changes what you buy is the one above, between mapping locations you already own and reporting which nearby retailers currently stock a given product. Most of what is listed as a store finder app on the Shopify App Store does the first. Every platform compared on this page does the second.
Which of these platforms publish their pricing?
Three of the six, including us. Ours are on our Shopify App Store listing: $195, $395 and $995 a month, tiered by how many retail locations you need. Pear Commerce lists four tiers with dollar figures, starting at $2,000 a month billed yearly. Stockist publishes $10, $20 and $40 a month against location caps. Destini, Wayvia and MikMak all quote on request. Where a third-party directory lists a figure for a vendor who does not publish one, we say so and name the directory rather than treating it as a vendor statement.,,,,
How fresh is in-store availability data on these platforms?
It varies more than the marketing does, and most vendors do not publish an interval at all. StoreLocators is retailer-reported, refreshed daily and re-checked while the shopper browses. Destini publishes a monthly refresh for Canada and no interval for United States in-store availability. Wayvia describes its validation as continuous without publishing a figure. No platform in this category polls a physical shelf in real time, and a vendor implying otherwise is describing a marketing claim rather than a mechanism.,
How long does it take to launch a store locator?
StoreLocators publishes under five minutes for the Shopify install, and the app listing is public so the claim is checkable. Wayvia publishes under ten minutes for its Shoppable Next Generation campaign flow. Pear says its free test drive is ready to share in minutes. Most of the others publish no setup-time figure for the locator at all, which is why the comparison table marks those cells "not published" rather than guessing at weeks or months.,
Can you switch platforms without losing your store data?
Usually, yes, but what transfers depends on what you own. Store lists, retailer lists and product catalogues are yours and export cleanly. Syndicated availability data is licensed from the data provider, not from the locator vendor, so it does not move with you. Anything embedded in a vendor-hosted landing page, short link or coupon stays behind. Each comparison page on this site has a switching section that covers what is genuinely harder about moving off that specific platform.
This page was researched by reading each vendor’s own public materials: their site and product pages, their support and developer documentation, their app-store and directory listings, their press releases and the trade press covering them. Nothing here comes from a competitor teardown or a third-party "top ten" listicle. One cell is the exception, and it is labelled in the table rather than only here: Destini publishes no pricing at all, so that cell shows a range reported to us by brands that have used Destini, not a published price. It is not the $4,950 that appears on Destini’s Capterra listing, which is directory metadata rather than a vendor statement.
Where a vendor publishes a figure, we quote it in their units and name the page it came from. Where they do not, the cell says so. Apart from that one reported pricing figure, we have not estimated a competitor’s price, customer count, refresh interval or feature availability anywhere on this page, and we would rather leave a row marked not verified than fill it with a plausible guess.
Claims about other vendors carry a source; claims about our own product mostly do not, and that asymmetry is deliberate. You should not have to take our word for what a competitor does, so every one of those cites the vendor’s own page by name in the sources list. What we say about StoreLocators is a first-party statement we stand behind, so it is not separately cited. The exceptions are the two places a reader can check something binding: our Shopify App Store listing, which we do not control, and our guarantee page, which carries the actual contract terms.
Facts in this category go stale quickly. One vendor rebranded, two were acquired and one acquired a competitor in the eighteen months before this review. That is why every page in this comparison carries the date its facts were last checked, and every claim about another vendor carries the source it came from, rather than an implied permanence.
