Wayvia vs StoreLocators: 2026 Pricing and Comparison

Enterprise commerce enablement platform, with Where to Buy and store locators inside it

Wayvia is the enterprise commerce enablement platform that traded as PriceSpider until July 2025. Brands usually start looking for a Wayvia alternative for one of two reasons: they need a store locator rather than a six-part commerce suite, or they cannot get a price out of a demo-led sale fast enough to decide anything. StoreLocators is compared against every major where-to-buy platform on our hub.,

Last reviewed

The short answer

Wayvia is a multi-product enterprise suite bought through a demo-led sale. StoreLocators is a single self-serve store locator you install yourself.

What each product is designed to do, in its own terms. A capability named on one side is not a claim that the other lacks it, and neither column ranks the two: the table below is where they are compared row by row.

What Wayvia is built for

  • You sell across Europe, Latin America or APAC and need retailer coverage in those markets.
  • You need sales confirmed by the retailer and verified to the receipt, not modelled from clicks.
  • MAP violations, unauthorised sellers or margin erosion are a real problem worth their own product.
  • You run retail media at a scale that needs closed-loop attribution wired into Meta, Adobe and Snowflake.
  • You want the vendor to run the implementation rather than resourcing it internally.

If two or more of these describe your team, a focused store locator is not the product you are shopping for. We would rather say that here than after another thousand words.

What StoreLocators is built for

  • You sell in the US, Canada, UK or Australia and need a locator live this week.
  • You are on Shopify, or you can drop a script on any other site, and have no developer time to spend.
  • You want to see the product working on your own catalogue before you talk to a salesperson.
  • Published terms matter: month to month, no termination fee, cancel from your account settings.
  • A locator, availability badges and retail analytics is the whole job, not one module of six.

StoreLocators and Wayvia, side by side

Both store locators as a shopper sees them, captured the same way: a 1280 by 800 browser window placed in Chicago, searching for Chicago. A demo holds whatever sample data its vendor chose, so where that changes what the picture shows, the caption says so. Each shot is trimmed to a common shape here; select one to see all of it.

Pricing, and what each vendor publishes

Our prices are public: $195, $395 and $995 a month on our Shopify App Store listing, each with a 14-day free trial. Wayvia publishes no price. It has no pricing page in its sitemap, and no figure, range, tier or contract length appears on the homepage, any of the five solution pages, or the contact page.,,

What can be compared is terms. Ours are published in full and take about a minute to check. Wayvia publishes none: minimum term, auto-renewal, notice period, termination fees and implementation fees are all absent from its public site, and whether it charges per SKU, per retailer, per market or per seat is not disclosed. That is a statement about what is published, not a criticism of the number.,

What Wayvia is, in their own words

“Connect shoppable media, Where to Buy, Store Locators, omnicommerce data, retail intelligence, and MAP enforcement in one platform built to increase conversion, protect revenue, and measure commerce performance.”

Wayvia

“Confirmed Sales. Not Add-to-Cart Guesses. Add-to-cart estimation tools model revenue from clicks. Wayvia reports the sale itself”

Wayvia

“A guided 4-step creation flow that takes brands from brief to published shoppable page with no engineering, no translation team, and no IT ticket.”

Wayvia, on Shoppable Next Generation

“Wayvia reflects our belief that the future of commerce will be shaped as much by intelligent systems as by human decisions.”

Anthony Ferry, CEO of Wayvia

PriceSpider announced the Wayvia name on 24 July 2025, alongside an AI product it calls Wayvia MCP. The old domain now redirects to wayvia.com, though some legacy PriceSpider articles are still live on it. The company has also absorbed Commerce Connector, ORIS Intelligence and Hatch, and Commerce Connector still runs under Wayvia branding.,,

Read their homepage closely and the scope is unambiguous. Where to Buy and Store Locators are capabilities inside Shoppable Media, sold next to Omnicommerce Data, Retail Intelligence and MAP Monitoring PROWL. The locator is one output of a data and media platform rather than the product itself. Almost everything below follows from that.

Where StoreLocators is different

You can evaluate it without talking to anyone

StoreLocators installs from the Shopify App Store, drops into a theme as an app section, and runs on non-Shopify sites as a script plus a single div. Wayvia’s only published route is Request a Demo. A brand can have a live locator before it could get a demo on the calendar.,

Prices and terms you can read before a call

Our prices are public: $195, $395 and $995 a month on our Shopify App Store listing, each with a 14-day free trial. Wayvia publishes no price. Our terms are public too: month to month, no long-term contract, no termination fee, cancel any time in Account Settings with access through the end of the billing period, and a refund window of 30 days from the latest charge.,,

Retailer discovery is automatic

StoreLocators finds which of its 205 integrated retailers already carry your products, so the map populates without your team assembling a retailer and SKU map first. New retailers are added on request, typically within days, at no additional cost.

Independents and wholesale accounts have a way in

Logged-in wholesale customers add their own store through the Submit Your Location block, and CSV or spreadsheet uploads cover non-integrated chains. That reaches the regional grocer and the independent boutique no chain-level retailer network will ever list.

One product, not a suite

Wayvia sells shoppable media, omnicommerce data, retail intelligence and MAP enforcement together. A brand that needs a store locator, availability data and badges on its product pages should not have to buy an omnicommerce data platform to get one.

A free public retailer directory

The store-lists directory publishes 110,516 locations across 205 retailers as free CSV downloads with addresses, phone numbers, hours and coordinates. It is the same data the locator runs on, open to anyone.

Badges tied to a number we can name

BlendJet saw an 11.5% increase in online conversion and a 300% increase in locator usage after adding Retail Trust Badges. One attributed result from one named brand, rather than a range.

Every row where the table above separates us

Taken from that table rather than written out again, so the two cannot disagree. A row shows up here when we publish an answer and they publish none, or when both answer and ours covers more of the feature. Rows where both sides publish a figure, a price or a rating, stay out: those differ by their content.

Data freshness compared

PriceSpider’s own long-standing description of Where to Buy is crawl-based. It says its spidering technology actively monitors your product pages on your retail partners’ websites and displays real-time data, so that when a retailer sells the last of its stock the locator knows. Wayvia layers direct retailer partnerships on top of that, which is also how it sources the retailer-confirmed sales it sells as its measurement differentiator.,

What Wayvia does not publish is a number. It says real time, and it says continuously validated, but no interval, no latency figure and no freshness commitment appears on the homepage, the solution pages or the Retail Intelligence page. So we are not going to state one on their behalf.,

Ours is retailer feeds, updated daily. Availability is what the retailer reports, not a live poll of a physical shelf, and that is the honest description of any feed-driven system including theirs. The practical difference is not freshness. It is that one side tells you the cadence and the other does not.

Retailer coverage compared

The raw numbers are not close, and pretending otherwise would waste your time. Wayvia states more than 32,000 validated retailers and almost 7 million monitored product listings. StoreLocators integrates 205 retailers across 110,516 locations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Geography is where that gap bites. Wayvia’s Hatch page claims 92 countries and gives a regional split of data-sharing retailers led by EMEA, and the 2022 Hatch acquisition release said over 90 countries. Both figures are vendor-stated, and the Hatch page still reads as PriceSpider-era material, so treat them as claims rather than a current audited count. Either way, if your distribution is European or APAC, a four-market locator is the wrong tool.,

Two things the headline number does not tell you. We found no public breakdown of how many of those 32,000 retailers report store-level, in-store availability rather than online product-page availability. And a large network is only useful if it contains your accounts, which for an emerging brand often means a regional grocer or an independent rather than a marketplace.,

Setup and time to launch

Enterprise where-to-buy is often assumed to be slow to stand up. Wayvia publishes the opposite for its newest product: Campaign to Live Page. Under 10 Minutes, through a guided four-step flow with no engineering, no translation team and no IT ticket.

That figure covers building a campaign page. It does not cover the part that actually takes time, which is retailer and SKU onboarding, account provisioning, and getting your domain whitelisted. The community Drupal integration for PriceSpider is the clearest public evidence of that shape: it requires a registered vendor account and a whitelisted domain before the embedded Where to Buy experience will render at all. No turnaround for that step is published, so the table says unknown rather than slow.,

StoreLocators is a different shape rather than a faster version of the same thing. Install the app, add the Live Retail Map section to a theme, and discovery runs against your catalogue. Under five minutes, with no developer, and nothing gated behind a vendor switching you on.

What a Wayvia alternative actually replaces

Most brands arrive at this question with one of two problems. Either the locator is all they need and the suite around it is overhead they are paying for, or they cannot get a number out of a demo-led sale fast enough to decide anything this quarter. In both cases a focused locator is the right answer and the switch is small.

The switch stops being small the moment the platform is doing a second job. MAP enforcement, receipt-level attribution feeding a retail media budget, and non-US retailer data are three jobs no store locator performs. If any of those is load-bearing for your team, replacing Wayvia is a procurement exercise with several vendors in it, not a swap. The genuine overlap case is the brand that has outgrown a basic map but is not yet running multi-country retail media, and there it comes down to one question: do you need a sale confirmed by a retailer, or do you need shoppers to find your product on a shelf this month.,

Switching from Wayvia

Moving a locator is mostly a data and embed exercise. The widget on your site is the easy part. The work sits in the retailer and SKU mapping behind it, and in whatever else you were buying from the same vendor.

Deal with that second part first. If Wayvia is also your MAP monitor, your retail media attribution layer or your only source of European retailer data, a store locator does not replace those, and this section is not going to pretend it does.

  1. Work out what you are actually replacingList the jobs Wayvia does for you today: locator, product-page where-to-buy, attribution reporting, MAP monitoring, international coverage. Anything past the first two needs its own answer before you move.An hour, with the contract open
  2. Install alongside, not insteadPut StoreLocators on a staging theme or a single product page and let retailer discovery run while Wayvia is still live. You are comparing real coverage on your own catalogue rather than a demo dataset.Under 5 minutes to install
  3. Check coverage against your real retail listCompare what discovery found against your actual distribution. Request any missing retailers, which are typically added within days at no additional cost, and bring independents in through the wholesale portal.Days, not weeks
  4. Move the embedsSwap the widget on your product pages and your store locator page. Keep the URLs exactly as they are so nothing you have already earned in search moves.
  5. Give notice properlyWayvia does not publish contract terms, so read your own agreement for the renewal date and notice period before you cancel anything. Export any historical Where to Buy and attribution reporting you want to keep.Depends on your agreement

Frequently asked questions

What happened to PriceSpider, and what is Wayvia?

PriceSpider rebranded as Wayvia on 24 July 2025, announced alongside an AI product the company calls Wayvia MCP. It is the same business, with the same retailer network and what its own release describes as more than two decades of shopper and pricing data behind it. The pricespider.com root now redirects to wayvia.com, though some older PriceSpider articles are still live on the old domain. Wayvia has also absorbed Commerce Connector, ORIS Intelligence and Hatch.,,

How much does Wayvia cost?

Wayvia does not publish pricing. There is no pricing page in its sitemap, and no price, range, tier, packaging or contract length appears on the homepage, any of the five solution pages, or the contact page. The only published route to a number is Request a Demo. Whether it charges per SKU, per retailer, per market or per seat is not disclosed either, so we did not estimate any part of it.,

Is there a free trial or a self-serve plan for Wayvia?

No self-serve signup or free trial is advertised on Wayvia’s site. Every conversion path we found is Request a Demo, Speak with our experts, or Contact Us. That is not proof that no trial exists, only that none is published. StoreLocators works the other way round: it offers a 14-day free trial on every tier and installs from the Shopify App Store without a sales conversation first.,

What is the best Wayvia alternative for a Shopify brand?

It depends on what you are replacing. If Wayvia is mainly your store locator and Where to Buy widget, a focused Wayvia alternative such as StoreLocators installs from the Shopify App Store in minutes and covers 205 retailers across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. If you also rely on MAP monitoring, retailer-confirmed sales attribution or European retailer data, no single locator app replaces all of that.,

How many retailers does Wayvia cover, and in which countries?

Wayvia states a network of more than 32,000 validated retailers and almost 7 million monitored retail product listings. Its Hatch page claims 92 countries and 1,571 retailers providing sales data, weighted heavily towards EMEA. That page still carries PriceSpider-era wording, so treat the country figure as a vendor claim rather than a current audited count. No public breakdown says how many of those retailers report store-level, in-store availability.,,

How does Wayvia’s Where to Buy actually get its data?

PriceSpider’s own long-standing description is crawl-based. It says its spidering technology actively monitors your product pages on your retail partners’ websites and displays real-time data, so the locator knows when a retailer sells its last unit. Wayvia layers direct retailer partnerships on top, which is also how it sources the retailer-confirmed sales it sells as a measurement differentiator. It publishes no refresh interval or freshness guarantee.,,

Does Wayvia work with Shopify?

Wayvia does not publish a Shopify-specific install path. The clearest public evidence of how a Wayvia embed gets deployed is the community Drupal integration for PriceSpider, which requires a registered vendor account and the brand’s domain whitelisted before the Where to Buy experience will render. The Shopify App Store has no listing under either Wayvia or the legacy PriceSpider name, so whatever the deployment path is, it is not an app install.,

Wayvia vs MikMak vs Destini: which where-to-buy platform should a brand pick?

Scope is the dividing line. Wayvia is the broadest of the three: Where to Buy and Store Locators are capabilities inside a platform that also sells shoppable media, omnicommerce data, retail intelligence and MAP enforcement. Rather than summarise the other two here without their own sources beside them, our comparison hub sets every platform side by side with a citation and a review date on each claim.

Where Wayvia publishes nothing, this page says so instead of estimating. That applies to pricing, the pricing model, contract length, trial availability, data refresh cadence, retailer onboarding time and whether a Shopify listing exists. Two figures, the 92-country count and the 1,571 sales-data retailers, appear only on a page still carrying PriceSpider-era wording, and are attributed that way wherever they are used.,

Claims about StoreLocators are held to the same standard and come from our own public pages, linked in the same list so you can check them the same way.
