Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, share, and protect data — and the choices you have.
Effective June 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how StoreLocators Inc. (“StoreLocators,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with our website, our store-locator and retail-availability products, and the advertising services we operate on behalf of our brand customers. It applies to visitors of storelocators.com, brands that use our platform, and consumers who interact with the store-locators, badges, landing pages, and advertisements we power.
Information We Collect
We collect:
- Information you provide — name, email, company, and message content when you contact us, request a demo, or download data.
- Brand & retail data — product catalogs, store locations, inventory levels, and real-time availability supplied by the brands that use our platform.
- Usage & device data — pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP or, with permission, device location to find nearby stores), browser and device type, and similar diagnostic data.
- Cookies & identifiers — first-party cookies and identifiers we set, and third-party cookies and identifiers (including advertising and analytics cookies) as described below.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve our store-locator and retail-availability products.
- Connect shoppers to in-stock products at retail locations near them.
- Plan, create, run, measure, and report on advertising campaigns on behalf of our brand customers.
- Respond to inquiries, provide support, and communicate with you.
- Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Cookies & Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, measure performance, and support advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can control advertising cookies and identifiers using the choices described in the Advertising, Remarketing & Audiences section below.
Advertising Services We Operate for Brands
As part of our service, StoreLocators plans and runs digital advertising campaigns on behalf of the brands that use our platform. When we onboard a brand, we create a dedicated advertising account for that brand under our manager (MCC) account and use it to run their campaigns. These campaigns may use audiences built from a brand's own data sources — such as advertising pixels on the brand's site or the brand's connected Google Analytics — to re-engage that brand's past visitors and customers with ads, including ads that feature a map of nearby retail locations that currently carry the brand's products in stock. We act as a service provider / processor to each brand for these activities and operate within the policies of the advertising platforms we use, including Google.
Remarketing & Third-Party Advertising
We — and the brands we work with — use remarketing and similar-audience tools to advertise online. Third-party vendors, including Google, show these ads on sites and apps across the Internet. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and/or device identifiers to serve ads based on someone's past visits to a website. We and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the Google advertising cookie) — or other first-party and third-party identifiers — together to inform, optimize, and serve ads, and to report on how ad impressions, uses of ad services, and interactions with these ad impressions and ad services relate to visits to a site.
Your Advertising Choices & How to Opt Out
You can opt out of personalized advertising and control how cookies and device identifiers are used:
- Opt out of Google's use of cookies and personalize the ads Google shows you via Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.
- Control or reset advertising identifiers using your device's settings (for example, iOS or Android ad-tracking controls).
- Manage or block cookies through your browser's settings.

How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to provide our services: with the relevant brand customer; with service providers and advertising platforms (such as Google) that process data on our or a brand's behalf; and when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security. Where we process personal information of individuals in regulated jurisdictions on behalf of a brand, we do so under written data-processing terms.
Google API Services
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Our use of the Google Ads API is governed by the applicable Google Ads API Terms and Conditions and Google's advertising policies.
Analytics
We use analytics services, including Google Analytics, to understand how our site and products are used. These services may set cookies and collect usage data subject to the choices described above.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of certain processing (including targeted advertising and any “sale” or “sharing” as defined by applicable law), and to withdraw consent. StoreLocators complies with the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other applicable data-protection laws. To exercise your rights, email us at privacy@storelocators.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which we delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion as described above.
Data Security
We implement appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and continuous monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify affected parties of material breaches as required by law.
International Data Transfers
We operate from the United States and Canada and may process information in those and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information.
Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and general audiences and are not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
